esigner Shruti Sancheti has not only made marks with her design aesthetics but has also proved her skills of a great educator in the past by being signed as the Head of Designing at INIFD, a fashion institute located in Nagpur. Shruti Sancheti’s creation focuses an immense sense of contemporary appeal fused with ethnicity, an essence of the designer’s land spells from her motifs.
Shruti Sancheti is based out of Nagpur. Though the designer was extremely inclined towards designing right from her childhood she pursued her graduation in history. She has also acquired her MBA degree. Eventually after the completion of her education, at a pretty young age the designer was married off to a well politically connected family. But her fascination and passion towards designing did not decline at all and her family played a crucial role in not letting this blaze go down by making her join JD institute of fashion technology, for an advanced diploma. Her first child was of six months at that point of time. Gradually designer Shruti Sancheti enrolled herself for a one year diploma in textile design from INIFD, Nagpur where she acquired the first position. The designer didn’t prefer to stop there; she subsequently decided to join one more diploma program in jewellery designing from JD INST of fashion technology. She first kicked off her career with INIFD where the designer was signed to enlighten the students of the institute with her designing proficiencies.
Shruti is presently associated with one of the most prestigious educational institute of Nagpur, the Lad College as a lecturer in masters of fashion designs apart from possessing her own label Pinnacle- Shruti Sancheti. The designer is also responsible for setting paper and module for the Nagpur University. Her versatility doesn’t agree to pause here, Shruti who is the mother of two at the moment also writes columns for local dailies.
The designer has represented India with her exclusive collection titled Royale Regalia at the Hong Kong World Boutique under the Emerging Designer category on January 2012. She has been a part of the Lakme Fashion Week and has even received a lot of rave review for her showcasing at the coveted Kolkatta Couture Week.
Lakmé Fashion Week
Lakmé Fashion Week is a bi-annual fashion event that takes place in Mumbai. Its Summer-Resort show takes place in April while the Winter-Festive show takes place in August.
The event first took place in 1999.

It is considered as one of the premier fashion event in India . along with FDCI’s India Fashion Week and India Runway Week. It is jointly run and organized by Lakmé, and IMG Reliance Limited, where title sponsor is Lakme.
International models such as Naomi Campbell as well as Indian film stars such as Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora Khan, and Arjun Rampal have participated in it. International labels that have taken part in LFW include Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, and Roberto Cavalli. Among Indian designers, Ajay Kumar, Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, and Ritu Beri have taken part in the event. The event has been responsible for launching the careers of designers such as Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Kareena Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Lisa Haydon have been some of the major show-stoppers till date.
