ings a bell. Does the backdrop seem familiar? Indeed, it’s the famous temple within the premises of Film City, Goregaon, where scores of Hindi films have been shot in the past.

TOI’s lensman Nilesh Wairkar was there during the filming of an intense scene from KS Ravikumar’s Policegiri produced by TP Aggarwal and his son Rahul.

The shot in question had Sanjay Dutt, who is back from shooting Rajkumar Hirani’s PK in Jaipur, taking co-star Prachi Desai to the temple, where he bumps into Prakash Raj, with whom he has a verbal altercation.

According to an eyewitness, Sanjay came well in advance and prepared for the scene. Said Rahul Aggarwal, “Fifteen more days and our film will be complete.”

Policegiri (transl. Police acts) is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action film an official remake of the hit Tamil film Saamy,directed by K.S. Ravikumar and produced by T. P. Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal. The film features Sanjay Dutt, Prachi Desai and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. The theatrical trailer was released on 28 May 2013, and the film released on 5 July 2013.

The film is the official remake of the 2003 Tamil film Saamy, directed by Hari.
